Job summary

Aspire People is seeking a SEN Teaching Assistant in Royston, Hertfordshire to support pupils with Special Educational Needs within a welcoming school. You will help learners engage with lessons, build confidence, and access wider school activities.

The role is full-time, Monday to Friday, 8:30am–4:40pm, with a temporary-to-permanent contract and an ASAP start or after your current notice. Own transport or reliable commuting is preferred, and safeguarding checks will apply.

We are currently recruiting for a reliable and committed SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming school in Royston, Hertfordshire on a full-time, temporary-to-permanent basis.

The role

You will be supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), helping them to engage with learning, develop their confidence and access the wider school environment.

We are looking for someone who:

• Has GCSEs, including good literacy and numeracy skills
• Has previous experience working with children or young people with SEND - this is essential
• Is reliable, patient and committed
• Can build positive relationships with pupils and staff
• Is confident supporting pupils with a range of additional needs
• Is available full-time, Monday to Friday
• Can start ASAP or once their current notice period has been completed
• Has their own transport or can reliably commute to the school
