Job summary

Vision for Education Ltd is seeking an SEN Teaching Assistant to join a SEND school in Northumberland on a temporary to permanent basis. You will support secondary pupils (KS3–KS4) with SEMH needs, providing 1:1 assistance across the full curriculum to boost engagement and emotional regulation.

Working as part of a supportive team, you will contribute to a nurturing environment, access regular CPD, and help pupils build confidence and progress towards their goals.

Qualifications

• Experience working with secondary-aged young people.
• Experience supporting pupils with SEMH and/or SEND.
• A DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one) to support a quick start.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 support to secondary pupils across the full curriculum.
• Assist with behaviour management and promoting emotional regulation.
• Support engagement in learning and help pupils make progress.
