Job summary

Teaching Personnel in Cardiff is seeking an SEN Teaching Assistant to support children and young people with SEND, with a particular focus on Autism Spectrum Disorder. This full-time, term-time only role starts in September and offers pay from £92.63 per day.

You will work alongside teachers and therapists to deliver tailored strategies, routine-based learning, and interventions to help pupils access the curriculum.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children or young people with SEND, particularly ASD.
• Teaching Assistant qualification or relevant experience (desirable).

Responsibilities

• Support pupils with ASD to access learning through structured routines, visual supports and personalised strategies.
• Assist students with sensory processing difficulties, communication challenges, and emotional regulation needs.
• Deliver one-to-one and small group interventions as directed by teaching staff.
• Support pupils with personal care requirements in a dignified and respectful manner.
