Job summary

Veritas Education Recruitment is seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant in Enfield, North London. You will support pupils aged 11-19 with SEN including SLD and PMLD, delivering 1:1 and small-group support across schools in the Enfield area.

The role is full-time, term-time only, with hours from 8:30 to 16:00, Monday to Friday. DBS checks and references are required; prior SEN experience is advantageous.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting pupils with SEN.
• Ability to provide 1:1 and small-group support.
• Comfort with SLD and PMLD needs and SEMH.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils with a range of SEN needs.
• Provide 1:1 and small-group assistance tailored to individual plans.
• Assist with personalised learning programmes and sensory activities.
• Support communication, engagement, and emotional regulation.
• Collaborate with teachers and therapists to maintain a safe learning environment.
