Job summary

Ormiston Ilkeston Enterprise Academy is seeking a highly motivated Teaching Assistant to support pupils with special educational needs across cognition, learning and social-emotional development. You will work closely with the SENCO, Support Centre Manager and teaching staff to deliver targeted interventions and liaise with external agencies where required.

The role welcomes applicants with qualifications related to Behaviour Support or Emotional Literacy, and offers opportunities to develop

Qualifications

• Experience supporting pupils with special educational needs
• LA liaison with SENCO and support staff
• Experience with safeguarding and inclusive practice

Responsibilities

• Support cognition and learning for pupils with SEND
• Support social, emotional and mental health needs
• Assist with pupils with communication and interaction challenges
• Liaise with SENCO, Support Centre Manager and external agencies
• Attend meetings and contribute to Education plans
