Milk Education is proud to support a Specialist SEND School in Guildford, recruiting a SEN Teaching Assistant to join their caring team on a long or short-term basis starting in September.

You'll work with students with Autism, SEMH, and other needs, providing one-to-one and group support, adapting activities, and promoting an inclusive, safe learning environment. This role suits patient, adaptable educators seeking professional development and meaningful impact.

Qualifications

• Recent experience in a school or SEND setting.
• Experience supporting children with additional needs such as Autism, SEMH, ADHD.
• Solid numeracy and literacy skills.
• A Level 2 or 3 qualification in childcare, education, health and social care or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Supporting students on a one-to-one basis and in small groups, responding to SEND needs.
• Helping to deliver personalised learning activities and interventions to support academic, social and emotional development.
• Working alongside teachers to adapt lessons and resources to meet learning needs.
• Promoting a calm, inclusive learning environment where every student feels safe, valued and encouraged to achieve their goals.
• Supporting students with emotional regulation and positive behaviour strategies.
