Job summary

Milk Education is seeking Graduate Teaching Assistants to support students with SEN and SEMH in Newbury. You will work 1:1 and in small groups, helping pupils with autism, ADHD and emotional needs while assisting teachers with engaging lessons.

This role offers flexible days and real impact in learners' lives. Graduates from Psychology, Education, Criminology, Sociology or related fields are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• Recent graduates with a passion for working with children.
• Interest in roles such as teaching, psychology or youth work.
• Resilient, patient and adaptable with good communication.

Responsibilities

• Support students 1:1 and in small groups within the classroom.
• Assist teachers in delivering engaging and accessible lessons.
• Help students stay focused, motivated, and on task.
• Support with SEN needs such as autism and SEMH.
• Apply behaviour management and de-escalation when needed.
• Build positive relationships and support emotional regulation.
• Assist with classroom preparation and resource organisation.
• Monitor and report on student progress and engagement.
