Job summary

Teaching Personnel is seeking a SEN Teaching Assistant to support in Sheffield and surrounding areas. The role involves assisting with planning and delivering engaging lessons, providing 1-1 support, and maintaining an inclusive environment for SEN students.

Strong communication and a proactive, team-oriented approach are essential. Flexible working patterns across full-time, part-time, and flexible arrangements are available, with competitive daily rates and weekly PAYE payments.

Qualifications

• Experience working with SEN students in an education setting.
• Enhanced DBS on Update Service or willingness to apply.
• Excellent communication and relationship management skills.
• Ability to work well in a team and independently with a positive attitude.

Responsibilities

• Support classroom teachers in planning and delivering engaging lessons.
• Provide 1-1 support to students where needed.
• Maintain a safe and inclusive learning environment for all students.
• Help maintain high expectations for learning and behaviour.
• Assist with student activities and interventions to build confidence and knowledge.
• Support SEN students to progress and engage with lessons.
