Job summary

Teaching Personnel is recruiting a SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils with Special Educational Needs in Mexborough and surrounding areas. The role offers full-time, part-time or flexible hours with competitive daily rates and weekly PAYE payments.

You will work with pupils with SEN, assist teachers, and help create an inclusive learning environment. Training and CPD opportunities are provided to support career growth.

Qualifications

• Experience with children with SEN is desirable but not essential.
• Patient, empathetic and proactive approach.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to manage challenging behaviour in a positive way.
• Qualifications such as Level 2/3 TA are advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Provide tailored support to pupils with SEN including autism, ADHD, and speech and language needs.
• Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging lessons and adapting materials.
• Promote positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing.
• Support pupils with personal care and mobility as required.
• Collaborate with teachers, parents and external professionals to ensure best outcomes.
