Job summary

Protocol Education is recruiting SEN Teaching Assistants to support pupils across several schools in the Cambridgeshire area. This role offers the chance to make a real difference for children with special educational needs and to develop skills in inclusive teaching.

Experience with children is desirable; DBS check required; full training and safeguarding support provided. Roles are permanent and temporary with competitive pay and ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children, young people, or vulnerable individuals is desirable.
• A patient, caring, and supportive approach.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• A genuine passion for supporting young people to achieve their full potential.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-to-one and small group support for pupils with additional learning needs.
• Support students with Autism (ASC), ADHD, Speech & Language difficulties, SEMH, and other needs.
• Assist teachers in delivering engaging lessons and classroom activities.
• Help pupils develop confidence, independence, and social skills.
• Foster a positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment.
• Support the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and other interventions.
• Monitor and record pupil progress where required.
