Shire Oak Academy in Walsall is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join our learning community. Reporting to the Assistant Headteacher/SENDCo, you will support staff and pupils, helping remove barriers to learning and enabling inclusive access to the curriculum.

The role involves assisting with students who have additional needs, building strong relationships with learners, and ensuring appropriate curricular adaptations are made.

Qualifications

• GCSE English and Maths at grade C or above (or 4+).
• Relevant qualification in supporting learning.
• Evidence of working with young people who have challenging behaviour is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional in-class and out-of-class support to students in their care.
• Build excellent relationships with students and colleagues.
• Adapt and differentiate the curriculum to ensure full access for students with additional needs.
