Job summary

Marchant Recruitment is recruiting a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant for a welcoming Maidstone school. The role supports pupils with additional needs, delivering targeted academic, pastoral and personal support within a nurturing environment.

You will work with the SENCO and teaching staff to provide tailored support, helping pupils build confidence and independence and engage with the school community. The role involves classroom and small-group interventions where appropriate.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working with children or young people is desirable
• Experience supporting pupils with SEN, Autism, ADHD or SEMH would be advantageous
• A patient, nurturing and understanding approach to supporting pupils
• Ability to adapt activities and learning approaches to individual needs
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively alongside teachers, SENCOs and other professionals
• A genuine commitment to inclusive education
• Legal ability to work within the UK

Responsibilities

• Support pupils within the classroom and in individual or small-group interventions.
• Work with class teachers, the SENCO and pastoral team to provide tailored support.
