Job summary

Marchant Recruitment is seeking an Assistant SENCO for a Kent school. The role supports the SENCO in coordinating and developing SEND provision,monitoring provision and contributing to individual support plans.

You will work closely with teaching staff, pupils, parents and external professionals to ensure pupils receive appropriate support and progress. The position suits someone with SEND experience, organised, approachable and a good communicator with families.

Qualifications

• Experience working with pupils with SEND.
• Experience supporting SENCOs or working in a SEND/pastoral team advantageous.
• Strong understanding of SEND provision and inclusive education.
• Excellent organisational and administrative skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively with staff, parents and external agencies.
• Commitment to safeguarding and pupil welfare.
• Relevant teaching, SEND or education qualification desirable.
• Legal ability to work within the UK.
