Job summary

Vision for Education is seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils with Special Educational Needs in schools across the Denton area of Manchester. The role is long-term with potential for day-to-day supply work, starting from September with earlier dates possible.

You will work closely with class teachers and SENCOs to provide tailored support for pupils with Autism, ADHD, SEMH, speech and language needs, and other learning needs, helping them access the curriculum and achieve

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children with Special Educational Needs in school or similar settings.
• Genuine passion for helping children reach their potential.
• Knowledge of ASC, ADHD, SEMH, speech and language needs, or other learning needs.
• Excellent communication and ability to build positive relationships with pupils, staff and parents.
• Confidence to support one-to-one and small-group interventions.
• Patience, resilience, flexibility and a proactive approach.
• Ability to work within a multidisciplinary school team.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils on a one-to-one basis and in small groups to access the curriculum.
• Help pupils develop confidence, relationships and learning goals.
• Adapt activities and use positive behaviour strategies to create a safe and inclusive learning environment.
• Collaborate with school staff and families to support academic progress and wellbeing.
