Job summary

Qualifications

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

  • Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with additional needs (SEND, ASD, ADHD, SEMH, communication difficulties).
  • Support pupils with accessing the curriculum and completing learning activities.
  • Work closely with teachers and SEN staff to deliver personalised support plans.
  • Encourage pupils to develop confidence, independence, and positive learning behaviours.
  • Support pupils with emotional regulation and social development.
  • Use appropriate strategies to promote positive behaviour and engagement.
  • Assist with classroom routines, transitions, and wider school activities.
  • Build strong, trusting relationships with pupils, staff, and families.
  • Help create a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment.

Location: Dorking, Surrey Pay: £100-£115 per day Contract: Full-Time | Long-Term Start Date: September 2026

A welcoming SEN school in Dorking, Surrey is looking for a caring and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team from September.
