Job summary

REESON Education is recruiting for two Teaching Assistants to join a specialist SEN school in the WA15 area, supporting pupils aged 8 to 19 with profound and complex needs. Qualifications

• Experience as a Teaching Assistant or working with SEN/SEMH pupils.
• Commitment to a long-term Teaching Assistant role in a SEN setting.
• Willingness to work as part of a multidisciplinary Teaching Assistant team.

Responsibilities

• Provide classroom support as a Teaching Assistant for pupils with complex needs across age ranges 8–19.
• Work 1:1, 2:1 and in small groups to assist with engagement and learning activities.
• Support sensory-based interventions and help pupils with emotional regulation.
• Adapt learning materials to meet diverse needs in SEN settings.
• Collaborate with teachers, therapists and support staff to meet each child’s needs.
• Provide personal care support where necessary with dignity.
