Job summary

TLTP Group is seeking an SEN Teaching Assistant to work in a specialist school in Uxbridge, supporting pupils aged 7-19 with SLD, ASC and complex needs. You will assist with learning, communication and personal development in a nurturing setting.

Role involves working with a multidisciplinary team to deliver personalised activities and safeguarding every pupil. Personal care is required, and visas are not sponsored for this UK-based role.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children or young people with SEN, especially complex needs.
• Ability to support varied communication, sensory and learning needs.
• Willingness to provide personal care when required.
• Patience, resilience and a calm, positive approach in challenging situations.
• Works well within a multidisciplinary team and maintains safeguarding standards.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils with learning, communication and personal development in class and in small groups.
• Collaborate with the class teacher and multidisciplinary team to deliver engaging activities.
• Assist with personal care, including toileting, changing and feeding, maintaining dignity.
• Use communication strategies and AAC to support individual needs.
• Support pupil independence, behaviour management and safeguarding throughout the day.
• Contribute to a positive, inclusive learning environment.
