Job summary

Ash Field Academy in Leicester is seeking a SEN Teaching Assistant for casual engagement with a Grade 7 pay point 11-14. Hours are to be confirmed and appointment will align with Discovery Academy Trust pay and conditions.

You will support pupils with disabilities, adapt activities, assess progress, and help families understand needs under the direction of teachers. This role offers flexible hours and trusted support networks.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 or equivalent qualification.
• Experience working with children of the relevant age group.
• Knowledge of at least one area of learning.
• Ability to plan work and exercise initiative.
• Ability to relate well to adults and children.

Responsibilities

• Plan and provide specialist support to pupils with disabilities and complex needs.
• Adapt and differentiate activities to enable access to the curriculum.
• Assess, record, and report on development and attainment.
• Support parents to understand their children’s complex needs.
• Provide supervision to individuals or groups in various settings.
