Job summary

Ash Field Academy in Leicester is seeking a SEN Teaching Assistant on a Casual Engagement Contract to support pupils with identified disabilities and SEN. You will work under teachers to adapt activities, monitor progress, and report development.

NVQ Level 2 or equivalent and experience with the relevant age group are required; hours to be confirmed. We offer a supportive team, pension, and additional staff benefits as part of Discovery Schools Trust.

Qualifications

• NVQ level 2 or equivalent qualification.
• Experience working with children in the relevant age group.
• Ability to plan, differentiate and adapt activities.
• Good communication with parents and staff.

Responsibilities

• Plan and provide specialist support to pupils with disabilities to access the curriculum.
• Assess, record and report on development and attainment.
• Support wellbeing and supervision in varied settings, including home environments.
• Work under teachers or advisory staff to adapt learning activities.
