Job summary

GSL Education in Bourne, Lincolnshire, is seeking a caring SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils with a range of needs. The role is Monday to Friday and starts on a supply basis with opportunities to progress into long-term or permanent positions.

Ideal candidates will have experience as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar SEN support setting, be patient and reliable, and work well with teachers and staff. A strong safeguarding focus and DBS checks are required before appointment.

• Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar SEN support role
• Care Work, Support Work or a similar setting experience also suitable
• Patient, compassionate and understanding
• Confident working with children and young people
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Reliable, committed and available Monday-Friday
• Passionate about making a positive difference to pupils' lives

Responsibilities

• Support pupils with additional needs across a range of activities
• Provide tailored learning support to help pupils engage with lessons
• Work alongside teachers and support staff to plan and deliver activities
• Support pupils' emotional, social and educational development
