Job summary

Protocol Education Limited is seeking a calm, compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils with SEMH and other needs in Bedale and surrounding area. You will help students regulate emotions, build relationships and engage with learning in a supportive, safe environment.

Ideal candidates have experience with SEN/SEMH, ASD or similar, and hold an enhanced DBS. This is a temporary, school-based role with weekly PAYE pay and access to CPD resources.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting pupils with SEN/SEMH needs.
• Ability to support students with ASD, ADHD and other needs.
• Calm, patient and resilient approach to managing behaviours.
• Enhanced DBS on Update Service (essential).
• References ready for clearance.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils with SEMH, ASD, ADHD and other needs in 1:1 or small groups.
• Help students develop emotional regulation and confidence.
• Create a calm, structured environment for learning.
• Encourage engagement, attendance and participation in lessons.
• Support positive, restorative behaviour approaches.
