Job summary

Protocol Education Limited is recruiting a SEN Teaching Assistant for Northallerton. You will support pupils with SEMH, ASD, ADHD and other needs, both 1:1 and in small groups, helping them regulate emotions and engage with learning. A calm, patient approach and trauma-informed ideas are valued.

Role offers weekly PAYE, access to CPD resources, and dedicated consultant support to simplify the process. DBS Update Service and safeguarding checks are required by schools.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children or young people with SEN and/or SEMH needs.
• Confidence supporting students with ASD, ADHD, SEMH and challenging behaviours.
• Calm, patient and resilient approach to managing behaviours and building relationships.
• An enhanced DBS on the Update Service is essential.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils with SEMH, ASD, ADHD, Autism, PMLD and other needs.
• Build positive relationships and provide 1:1 or small group support.
• Help students develop emotional regulation, social skills and confidence.
• Support behaviour in a positive, restorative way and create a calm learning environment.
