Job summary

Harold Wood Primary School is seeking an experienced Teaching Assistant to support learning in the classroom, including pupils with special educational needs. You will help run intervention groups (e.g., phonics) and develop resources to assist pupils' progress.

This role requires calmness, kindness, reliability and strong teamwork within a supportive environment. The post is permanent, part-time (29.15 hours per week) across 38 weeks per year, with start date as soon as possible.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children including those with special educational needs.

Responsibilities

• Support the children’s learning within the classroom.
• Take groups for interventions such as phonics.
• Work under the direction of the class teacher and use initiative to organise tasks.
