Job summary

Harold Wood Primary School is seeking an experienced Teaching Assistant to support learning in the classroom, including pupils with special educational needs. You will help run intervention groups (e.g., phonics) and develop resources to assist pupils' progress.

This role requires calmness, kindness, reliability and strong teamwork within a supportive environment. The post is permanent, part-time (29.15 hours per week) across 38 weeks per year, with start date as soon as possible.

Qualifications

Harold Wood Primary School are looking to appoint an experienced Teaching Assistant who has experience working with children including thosewho have a range of special educational needs.

The role involves supporting the children’s learning within the classroom as well as taking groups for interventions such as phonics.

Whilst you will be expected to work under the direction of the class teacher, you will also have the opportunity to use your own initiative, organise tasks and adapt activities; creating simple resources to support the pupils' work as appropriate.
