Job summary

Protocol Education Ltd is partnering with a Bristol school to recruit a SEN Teaching Assistant for the upcoming academic year. The role focuses on helping children learn, building confidence, and supporting their development within the classroom.

Ideal candidates will have school experience, an interest in SEN/behaviour management, and a calm, patient approach. An enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one) is required.

Qualifications

• Experience in a school setting
• Some experience with SEN/ behaviour management, or an interest in developing your skills
• A team player, willing to build relationships with pupils and staff
• A calm, patient and supporting approach to learning
• An enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to get one

Responsibilities

• Delivering small group interventions
• Supporting children with their learning and development
• Assisting the class teacher to bring lessons to life
• Confidentlty managing behaviour
• Supporting children with additional needs
