Job summary

Academics in Sutton seeks Teaching Assistants to support pupils with autism and a range of special educational needs. You will work in both whole class settings and 1:1 with students aged 10-16, contributing to inclusive teaching and positive behaviour support.

Experience is welcome but not essential; passion and flexibility are prized, with roles offered on long-term and supply basis from Sutton, a commutable area from London.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of autism spectrum disorders is essential.
• Ability to work with pupils with diverse needs including MLD and EBD.
• Previous experience in education or care is welcomed but not required.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils with ASD and MLD in class and 1:1 sessions.
• Assist with behaviour management and inclusive teaching.
• Help with tasks and activities across ages 10-16.
