Job summary

Grateley House School is a 38-week specialist day school for 11–19 year olds with Autism Spectrum Disorder, rated Good by Ofsted. The role involves assisting students in lessons, accompanying them to college (driving may be required), and helping with lesson preparation and resources.

We offer full training and ongoing support, encouraging personal development. Prior classroom experience is helpful but not essential; GCSE English and Maths are required.

Qualifications

• Previous classroom experience desirable but not essential – full training given.
• Minimum of GCSE English and Maths (or equivalent).
• Driving licence preferred with a view to driving school vehicles.
• Commitment to personal learning and development.
• Enthusiastic, focused, and resilient attitude.

Responsibilities

• Supporting students in lessons and during non-structured time.
• Transporting and supporting students at college (driving required).
• Assisting teachers with preparation of work, resources, and equipment.
• Supporting students during on- and off-site activities.
• Completing paperwork to record observations and interventions.
