Job summary

St. Peter’s Catholic Primary School in Stockport is seeking a proactive SEN Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 pupil support and assist with small group activities.

18 hours over 5 days, term-time only, temporary until July 2027, start ASAP. Salary at Scale 2 Point 3 (£25,614 full-time equivalent) pro rata £10,658.

• Experience in delivering targeted intervention support and evidence of impact on pupil learning.
• Proactive and able to demonstrate passion for working with children of different ages and abilities.
• Committed to working flexibly as part of a team for the benefit of all children.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 support for individual pupils and assist with small group work.
• Support general classroom activities and teaching as needed by the school.
• Engage with parents and others to support pupil achievement (EHCP context).
