Job summary

Remedy Education is recruiting for a SEN Teaching Assistant in Ongar to provide 1:1 and small group support across primary and secondary classes, helping students with autism, ADHD and communication needs.

You'll work closely with teachers and SENCOs in a well-resourced school, following EHCP targets, promoting calm, positive learning, and encouraging independence, with ongoing consultant support.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children or young people with SEN, ASD, ADHD or complex needs.
• Calm, patient and resilient approach.
• Confident supporting non-verbal or limited communication pupils.

Responsibilities

• Providing 1:1 and small group support across primary and secondary classes.
• Supporting communication, emotional regulation and engagement in learning.
• Following EHCP targets and individual support plans.
• Assisting with personal care where required.
• Working closely with teachers, SENCOs and external professionals.
