We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Learning Support Assistant to join our dynamic team at a welcoming and well-resourced Special Educational Needs (SEN) school. Starting in September, this is a full-time position (Monday to Friday) during term time.

You will work closely with class teachers and other support staff to provide tailored assistance to pupils with a range of complex needs, including Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD), and/or Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. Your role will be vital in helping students access the curriculum, develop key life skills, and build their confidence and independence.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide one-to-one and small group support to pupils with SEN

Support students with their learning, communication, and social development

Assist in implementing individual education plans (IEPs) and behaviour support strategies

Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and parents/carers

Maintain a safe, engaging, and supportive learning environment

Full-time availability (Monday to Friday, term-time)

Experience supporting children in any setting

A genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs

Patience, resilience, and a positive attitude

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Previous experience working in an SEN setting or with children/young people with additional needs

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
