Job summary

Smile Education is recruiting for a SEN Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support to students with additional needs at a secondary school in West Bromwich. This is a long-term maternity cover, offering continuity and essential hands-on experience in SEN and education.

You will work closely with teachers and the support team to help students access learning, develop confidence and achieve progression in their academic and social skills.

Qualifications

• Previous SEN or teaching assistant experience is desirable but not essential.
• We are keen to hear from graduates and candidates with transferable experience.
• Candidates with experience working with children or individuals with additional needs are encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Provide dedicated 1:1 support to students with additional needs.

Are you passionate about supporting students with additional needs? We are currently recruiting for an enthusiastic, caring and committed SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming secondary school in the West Bromwich.

This is a fantastic long-term maternity cover opportunity, ideal for someone looking to build meaningful experience working closely with students and make a genuine difference to their education and wellbeing.

The successful candidate will provide 1:1 support to students with additional needs, helping them access learning, develop their confidence and make progress in the classroom.

About the role
