Job summary

Teaching Personnel is seeking an Experienced Teaching Assistant to work across primary schools in Godalming and the surrounding area. The role involves 1:1 and small-group support for pupils, in mainstream or SEN settings, with flexible full-time or part-time hours.

We offer a competitive daily rate (£93-£100), ongoing training and a dedicated consultant to support you throughout assignments. Start date is September 2026.

Experienced Teaching Assistant Required (Godalming)

Location: Godalming, Surrey

Salary: £93-100/day

Start Date: September 2026

Job Type: Part-Time/Full-Time (8:30-3:30)

The Role:

Teaching Personnel are currently seeking multiple motivated and dedicatedTeaching Assistants to work across several of our mainstream primary schools within the Godalming area. The ideal educators would have experience working either 1-1 or within small groups of students either in a mainstream primary or SEN School. As an agency we work with an abundance of schools in the area seeking support staff on either a full-time, part-time or flexible basis.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Providing 1:1 support to a student or small group work within a resource base
  • Helping to manage classroom behaviour and create a positive learning environment.
  • Supporting students in completing assigned work and encouraging independent learning.
  • Monitoring student progress and reporting any concerns to the class teacher.
Key Requirements:
  • Passion for education and helping students succeed.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work well with young people.
  • Patience, empathy, and a positive approach to supporting students.
  • Previous experience working with children or in an educational setting is important
  • A willingness to learn and develop new skills (training can be provided).

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
