Job summary

Truro and Penwith Academy Trust, together with Mithian School, are seeking to appoint a dynamic, caring, and committed Teaching Assistant to support a child in KS1 with an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP).

About You:

The position is a part‑time role and will form part of the dedicated Year 2 and Year 3 team (Chapel Porth Class) working Monday - Friday mornings term time only.

The successful candidate will have a child‑centred approach and will support the delivery of a creative, inclusive, and challenging curriculum that inspires and motivates children. They will contribute to high‑quality teaching and learning, both indoors and outdoors, helping all pupils to achieve their full potential.

Applicants should demonstrate a sound understanding of effective teaching and learning, alongside the ability to support children with additional needs to enable them to access learning successfully. They will be committed to fostering positive relationships and creating an environment where every child feels valued, supported, and encouraged to thrive.
