Job summary

Teach South Sussex is seeking a SEN Teaching Assistant to support primary pupils across local schools in Eastbourne, Hailsham and surrounding areas. The role offers full-time and part-time options with day-to-day bookings or longer-term placements throughout the academic year.

The successful candidate will work alongside class teachers to foster an inclusive, engaging classroom, providing 1:1 support or small group interventions to help children progress.

This full-time post suits someone eager to help children thrive, with supply or longer-term placements available. Working alongside class teachers, the successful candidate fosters an inclusive, engaging classroom. Duties include one-to-one assistance and small group interventions, enabling pupils with additional needs to progress. Strong communication, patience and adaptability are essential. Pay ranges from £85 to £95 annually. Applicants should feel confident building positive relationships with children and staff. Part-time options may also exist, offering flexibility throughout the academic year.

We are working closely with local schools to recruit Teaching Assistants for day-to-day bookings, as well as full-time and part-time long-term placements throughout the academic year. As a Teaching Assistant, you'll be supporting pupils within the classroom, working alongside class teachers to create a positive and engaging learning environment. Some roles may also involve providing 1:1 support or working with small intervention groups to help children achieve their full potential.
