Job summary

Term Time Teachers in Eastbourne are seeking a knowledgeable SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils with additional needs in an outstanding school.

You will work 1:1 or in small groups, assisting with classroom activities and helping to implement support plans. The role offers flexible full-time/part-time hours and competitive daily rates, with a full Enhanced DBS as part of safeguarding.

About the Role:

As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers and other support staff to provide tailored support to pupils with a range of additional needs. If you're seeking a rewarding career, this is the role for you!

Key Responsibilities:

• Supporting students on a 1:1 or small group basis.
• Assisting with classroom activities.
• Helping to implement support plans.

Ideal Candidate:

• Previous experience working with children or adults with additional needs (e.g. in care work, schools, or residential settings)
• Calm, patient and empathetic approach
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• A genuine passion for supporting SEN students

Relevant qualifications or training are desirable but not essential.
