Job summary

Vision For Education Ltd. is seeking a 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant in Sunderland to support a pupil with additional needs. The role includes helping the pupil engage with learning, support social-emotional development, and work with teachers to meet individual learning goals.

The position is full-time and temporary, with ASAP start and weekly pay between £462.80 and £500 depending on experience and qualifications, in a supportive school environment.

Responsibilities

• Support a pupil 1:1 in class and in other activities as needed.

The School and Role

A supportive school in Sunderland is seeking a caring and reliable 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant to support a pupil with additional needs. The role involves working with the child both in class and outside the classroom when needed, helping them engage in learning, manage emotions, and build confidence. You will work closely with teaching staff to provide consistent support, encourage positive behaviour, and help meet the child’s individual learning and wellbeing needs throughout the school day.

Requirements

The desired SEND Teaching Assistant will have;

• Experience of working with primary school aged children
• Experience of working with pupils with SEND
• A passion for the progress of primary school pupils
• An ability to work as part of a team
