Job summary

Vision For Education Ltd. is recruiting a caring 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant to join a Sunderland school. You will support a pupil with additional needs in class and when needed outside the classroom, helping the learner engage with activities and build confidence throughout the day.

The role is full-time and temporary with excellent daily rates paid via PAYE. You will work closely with teachers and support staff to promote positive behaviour, progress in learning, and the pupil's wellbeing.

Qualifications

• Experience of working with primary school aged children (essential).
• Experience of working with pupils with SEND (essential).
• A passion for the progress of primary school pupils and ability to work as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Support a pupil 1:1 in class and outside the classroom as needed.
• Help the pupil engage in learning and build confidence.
• Support teachers to promote positive behaviour and wellbeing throughout the day.

The School and Role

A supportive school in Sunderland is seeking a caring and reliable 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant to support a pupil with additional needs. The role involves working with the child both in class and outside the classroom when needed, helping them engage in learning, manage emotions, and build confidence. You will work closely with teaching staff to provide consistent support, encourage positive behaviour, and help meet the child’s individual learning and wellbeing needs throughout the school day.

Requirements

The desired SEND Teaching Assistant will have;

• Experience of working with primary school aged children
• Experience of working with pupils with SEND
• A passion for the progress of primary school pupils
• An ability to work as part of a team
