Job summary

TimePlan Education is seeking SEN Teaching Assistants to support pupils with additional needs across Southampton. Flexible and long-term opportunities include day-to-day supply, long placements, and temp-to-perm roles. You’ll join a dedicated team and help make a real difference in young lives.

We welcome candidates with experience with children or young people, an empathetic approach, and strong teamwork. DBS clearance or willingness to obtain one is required.

Your Role:
  • Supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in the classroom
  • Working 1:1 or in small groups
  • Assisting with learning, behaviour, and emotional regulation

What We’re Looking For:
  • Experience working with children or young people
  • Backgrounds considered: education, care, residential support, youth work, nursery settings
  • A caring, empathetic, and patient approach
  • Passion for supporting children with additional needs
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)
