About Us:
Randstad is offering an exciting opportunity for a compassionate and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a supportive school in Berkeley, Gloucestershire. Role Overview:
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with students, providing tailored support to help them achieve their full potential. Your role will involve creating a nurturing environment where every learner feels supported, valued, and encouraged.


Your Responsibilities:

  1. Provide one-on-one and group support to students with SEN, including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), ADHD, and Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.
  2. Assist the class teacher with the delivery of engaging and accessible lessons.
  3. Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment that promotes emotional and academic development.
  4. Offer emotional and behavioural support to students, helping them overcome challenges.
  5. Support students with personal care needs where necessary.
  6. Collaborate with teachers, parents, and external professionals to ensure each child's needs are met.
  7. Maintain detailed records of student progress and behaviour.

Your Qualifications:

  1. Previous experience working with children with SEN in an educational or care setting.
  2. A patient, empathetic, and resilient approach to working with students.
  3. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  4. Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  5. Knowledge of safeguarding policies and procedures.
  6. Relevant qualifications in education or childcare are desirable but not essential.
