Position: Year 4 SEN Teaching Assistant
Location: Peacehaven
Start Date: May
End Date: Until the end of the academic year (July 2025)
Hours: Full Time, 8:30 AM - 3:30 PM
Hourly Rate: £13.75 per hour

About the Role: We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Year 4 SEN Teaching Assistant to support children with special educational needs in a vibrant and welcoming school in Brighton. You will play a key role in creating an inclusive and supportive environment for students, helping them to achieve their best and grow in confidence.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide tailored support to children with SEN, ensuring their learning needs are met effectively.

• Assist the class teacher with planning and delivering engaging activities.

• Support children in small groups or on a 1:1 basis, adapting to their specific needs.

• Encourage positive behaviour and foster a nurturing environment.

• Assist with general classroom duties and contribute to a positive school atmosphere.

What We're Looking For:

• Experience working with children, ideally in a school setting.

• A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach.

• Strong communication skills and the ability to work well as part of a team.

• Knowledge of SEN or a desire to learn more about supporting children with special educational needs.
