Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant (SEN TA)
Location: Locks Heath
Salary Range: £13.68 - £14.88 per hour (Depending on experience)
Start time: Immediate
Contract: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time

GSL Education are on the lookout for a committed and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistantto join a vibrant school inLocks Heath.You will provide exceptional support to students with special educational needs, guiding them to reach their full potential through personalised and heartfelt care.As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with classroom teachers to adapt lessons and provide individualised support, ensuring each student benefits from a nurturing and inclusive learning environment. Your role will be key in fostering their social, emotional, and academic development.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) tailored to each student's needs.
• Deliver high-quality, differentiated instruction to students withSEN.
• Work closely with classroomTeaching Assistantsto create an inclusive learning environment.
• Monitor and assess student progress, adjusting strategies as needed.
• Provide support and guidance toTeaching Assistantsand other staff working withSENstudents.
• Communicate regularly with parents and carers about student progress and needs.
• Stay informed about current best practices and developments in special education.

Requirements:

• Previous experience working withSENstudents or relevant training in special education is preferred.
• A degree in Psychology, Education, or a related field.
• Strong understanding ofSENbest practices and legal requirements.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to create a nurturing and inclusive learning environment.
• Patience, empathy, and a passion for supporting all students.
• Understanding of various SEN conditions.
• Have an updated CV and an enhanced DBS registered to the update service (or be willing to apply for one).
