Job summary

Milk Education is recruiting a SEN Teaching Assistant for a dedicated SEN school in Nottingham, starting in September on a long-term temporary basis. You will support pupils with additional needs, both one-to-one and in small groups, helping them access the curriculum with tailored assistance and EHCP-aligned strategies.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working with children or young people, ideally within an SEN, education, care or support setting.
• A patient, empathetic and resilient approach with a genuine passion for supporting pupils with additional needs.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with pupils, staff and families.
• The ability to adapt to the individual needs of pupils and remain calm in challenging situations.
• A good understanding of safeguarding and child protection responsibilities within an educational setting.
• The ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a wider school team.

This role is paid within the advertised pay scale. Your starting rate will be determined by your qualifications, relevant experience, and the requirements of the assignment.
