Job summary

Greenwood Academies Trust is seeking experienced SEND Teaching Assistants to support pupils across primary and secondary schools in Northamptonshire. The Supply Register is proud to be the appointed supply management partner.

We offer flexible working options including full-time, part-time, or day-to-day supply. You will provide 1:1 or small group support for SEND pupils and help maintain an inclusive classroom environment across Trust schools.

Qualifications

• Proven SEND experience supporting children or young people.
• Experience working with children in education, care or youth settings.
• DBS enhanced check on Update Service or willingness to apply for a new DBS check.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with diverse SEND needs (e.g., Autism, ADHD, SEMH).
• Assist class teachers to create inclusive, safe learning environments.
• Help students engage with the curriculum and access learning at their own pace.
• Support individual behaviour plans and promote positive behaviour management.

We are currently recruiting dedicated SEND Teaching Assistants to support pupils across primary and secondary academies in Northampton and Corby. Key Responsibilities:

• Providing tailored 1:1 and small group support to pupils with diverse SEND needs (including Autism, ADHD, SEMH, and moderate learning difficulties).
• Assisting class teachers in creating an inclusive, safe, and positive learning environment.
• Helping students
  engage with the curriculum and access learning at their own pace.
• Supporting individual behavior plans and promoting positive behavior management.

Requirements:

• SEND Experience: Proven experience supporting children or young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities.
• Childcare Experience: Prior experience working with children in an educational, care, or youth work setting.
• DBS: Hold an enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or be willing to apply for a new DBS check.
• Flexibility: A adaptable, patient, and empathetic approach to supporting young people of primary and secondary age.
