Job summary

Educato Limited is seeking an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to work 1:1 with a KS2 pupil who has autism in a welcoming primary school in Salford (M6).

The role involves supporting daily routines, transitions, emotional regulation and maintaining calm, consistent support within a mainstream classroom, in collaboration with the teacher and SENCO.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children with autism in a school setting.
• Ability to manage challenging behaviour with calm strategies.
• Patient, reliable and able to build positive relationships with pupils and staff.

Requirements

• Previous experience working with children with autism, ideally within a primary school.
• Confidence supporting pupils who display challenging behaviour.
• A good understanding of how changes in routine can affect children with autism.
• Someone patient, reliable and able to build positive relationships.
• A proactive Teaching Assistant who can remain calm and consistent in challenging situations.

You will be joining a supportive primary school where consistency and positive relationships are key to helping the pupil succeed.
