SEND Teaching Assistant – Maidstone

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled SEND Teaching Assistant to provide dedicated 1:1 support for a KS1 student with ASD in a welcoming and inclusive school environment. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on making a meaningful difference in a child’s learning journey, helping them develop confidence, communication skills, and academic progress through tailored support. Contract: Full time, long term – September 2025 start

Salary: £70 - £110

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide individualized support for students with SEND needs.
  • Foster a safe and engaging learning environment that encourages confidence and independence.
  • Assist with communication, sensory learning, and emotional regulation strategies.
  • Work closely with teachers and specialists to implement personalized learning plans.
  • Encourage social interaction and skill development.
  • Adapt support strategies to help students overcome challenges and succeed.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Experience working with SEND students, particularly those with autism, ADHD, or additional learning needs.
  • A patient, empathetic, and adaptable approach to supporting students.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with teachers, specialists, and families.
  • Ability to create a safe and engaging learning space.
  • A passion for helping students succeed and feel valued.
