SEN Teaching Assistant - 1:1 Autism Support
Location: Havering
Start Date: June 2025
Contract Type: Supply (full-time and part-time positions available)
Daily Rate: 90 - 100 (dependent on experience)
Year Groups: Early Years through to Year 6

Are you an experienced and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant looking to make a real difference? Tradewind Recruitment is working closely with a number of primary schools in Havering, seeking reliable and enthusiastic support staff for both day-to-day and long-term placements.

We Are Looking For Candidates Who:

• Have previous experience supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs, particularly in a school environment

• Are confident providing one-to-one or small group support (phonics or intervention work experience is advantageous)

• Demonstrate excellent communication and behaviour management skills

• Can foster positive relationships with students, staff, and families

• Are proactive, patient, and supportive with a strong understanding of SEN, IEPs, and EHCPs

Key Requirements:

• Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)

• Legal right to work in the UK

• A complete employment history listed on your CV

• Two recent professional references

• Overseas police check (if applicable)
