Job summary

Connex Education is recruiting a dedicated Teaching Assistant to support children with Special Educational Needs in a dynamic primary school setting in the Loughborough/Leicester area. The role involves 1:1 support and small-group work, contributing to a positive learning environment and strong teamwork.

The successful candidate will work closely with teachers, meet DBS/background checks requirements, and start ASAP on a relief cover basis with potential extension to the term or year.

Qualifications

• Experience working in an educational environment with children aged 4–11.
• Willing to support on a 1:1 basis or in small groups.
• Good behaviour management skills.
• Knowledge of Phonics and Read Write Inc.
• Be organised and reliable.
• Enhanced DBS (or willing to obtain) on update service.

About the role

Connex Education is in partnership with a vibrant Primary School within the Leicester area to recruit a Sen Teaching Assistant providing 1:1 support to work on a regular relief cover basis starting ASAP.

You will have strong teamwork skills as the school in question has a key focus on teamwork and collaboration to be able to achieve student and school goals. This school is at the heart of a thriving and creative community, and you will need to meet high standards and match the ambitious expectations alongside the staff and the governors. We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to support children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in a dynamic and inclusive classroom setting. The successful candidate will work closely with teachers and other staff to create a positive learning environment that fosters the academic, social, and emotional development of each child. Person Specification

• Experience working in an educational environment with children aged between 4 and 11 years.

• Have a current Enhanced DBS on the update service or willing to process a new one
