Job summary

Academics invites applications for an enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to join our specialist school in Longfield. You will support pupils with MLD, ASD and complex needs, working alongside the Class Teacher and a team of teaching assistants in classes of up to 10 pupils.

Hours are 08:30–15:30, Monday to Friday, in a temporary-to-permanent role with the potential for long-term progression. A caring SLT and a nurturing environment make this a rewarding place to develop your skills in

Qualifications

• Experience in Healthcare/Nursing, or working with Learning Difficulties is a plus.
• A passion for supporting children with SEN.
• Strong teamwork skills and a commitment to a therapeutic approach to education.

Responsibilities

• Assist pupils across Primary & Secondary ages with learning activities.
• Work alongside the Class Teacher and support staff to implement plans.
• Help ensure each student receives individual attention in class sizes up to 10.

We are currently seeking a fun and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to join our school, supporting children with Multiple Learning Difficulties (MLD), Autism (ASD), and complex needs.

Position Details:

Hours: 08:30 - 15:30, Monday to Friday (Full-Time)

The Role:

As a Teaching Assistant, you will work alongside the Class Teacher and other supporting staff to assist pupils across Primary & Secondary ages. Class sizes are up to 10 students, with 3/5 Teaching Assistants in each class, ensuring that every student gets the individual attention they need.
