Job summary

TLTP Education is looking for an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join a primary school in Waltham Forest, providing dedicated 1:1 support to a Year 2 pupil within an ASD provision.

The pupil is non-verbal and requires individualised support throughout the school day, including assistance with personal care and communication. We are seeking a patient, proactive and nurturing TA who can help the child feel safe and engaged in learning.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children with ASD and additional needs.
• Practical knowledge of PECS and Makaton.
• Experience supporting non-verbal pupils and assisting with personal care.
• Patient, proactive and nurturing approach.

What we're looking for

Previous experience working with children with ASD and additional needs.

Practical knowledge of PECS and Makaton.

Experience supporting non-verbal pupils and managing personal care.

A patient, proactive and nurturing approach.

Someone who can build a strong relationship with the child and work collaboratively with the wider school team.
