Veritas Education is seeking an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to work in a busy inner-city primary school in the LS9 area of Leeds. You will support pupils with a range of additional needs, helping them access learning and feel settled throughout the school day.

The role involves 1:1 and small-group SEN support, assisting with learning, communication and emotional needs, and working closely with the class teacher and SEN team to build strong relationships.

SEN Teaching Assistant

Location: LS9, Leeds Full-Time | Long-Term

Are you an experienced Teaching Assistant who is passionate about supporting children with additional needs?

We are an education recruitment agency looking for a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to work within a busy inner-city primary school in the LS9 area of Leeds.

You will be supporting pupils with a range of additional needs, helping them to access learning, develop their confidence and feel settled and supported throughout the school day.

The role will involve:
  • Providing 1:1 and small-group SEN support
  • Supporting pupils with additional learning, communication and emotional needs
  • Helping children remain engaged and focused in the classroom
  • Supporting positive behaviour and encouraging independence
  • Working closely with the class teacher and wider SEN team
  • Building positive and consistent relationships with pupils
